I can see how passionate Cheri Shields is! This lady stuck by my side when my pregnancy got tough. My labor went from 5cm dilated at home to 7 cm at birth center, 8cm dilated in ambulance, 9cm dilated by the time I was at the hospital. After 18 hours of labor, I couldn’t anymore. I needed an epidural. And although I believe in natural holistic remedies, western medicine was necessary for my labor. Cheri Shields knows how to balance both sides of the spectrum! She stayed by me until she couldn’t anymore, even after working many hours and being exhausted.

Not only did I receive attentive, evidence based care throughout pregnancy but was able to have a water birth. Cheri walked me through every step of pregnancy and was always open to discussing options whether related to tests or birth itself. Having your care team available to you without having to go through a phone tree or talk to someone on call you’re not familiar with is such a plus!

Can't say enough good things. I had my first with Cheri at OMC and my labor became an emergency very quickly due to unforseen, underlying issues. Cheri was like the captain of a ship, calm and collected in the midst of a storm... I was scared to try an out of hospital birth since I didn't know if my labor would need to be managed medically again. The prenatal care is incredible, so thorough and personalized - we were able to manage my health and deliver out of the hospital! I felt safe, cared for, and the birthing tub is *amazing*.
